Claire and Rhian headed to the University of Worcester to see Great Britain take on Canada in the Women's Wheelchair Basketball Continental Clash ...

We saw GB play on the second day of the tournament. They faced the reigning World Champions, Canada.

Great Britain piled on the pressure right from the start, with some great offensive and defensive play. Canada fought back hard, however, rising to the challenge of GB's early lead. They almost managed to level the score; the first quarter ending 13-12 in GB's favour.

At the start of the second quarter, GB's Helen Freeman netted a number of balls and then Amy Conroy helped to continue to rack up the points with a fantastic display of skill.

GB finished the first half ahead and then managed to retain their lead during a very impressive third quarter from Canada. They then also managed to hold on in the fourth and final quarter and came away with a 56-49 win over the World Champions.

A nail-biting, skillful and exciting game to watch, with a brilliant home crowd cheering the GB ladies on, it bodes well for the team's chances in Rio.

GB continued to perform well in the tournament and faced Canada again in the battle for third place, where the home team secured the bronze!
